QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Fall seven times -- stand up eight"

Japanese Proverb

H. Ross Perot: "Something in human nature causes us to start slacking off at our moment of greatest accomplishment. As you become successful, you will need a great deal of self-discipline not to lose your sense of balance, humility and commitment."

Good morning everyone. Another fine day is coming upon us and a great weekend for training. The tapering begins now for the Mississauga Marathon and the excitement is beginning to build. A great last in store clinic last night - handed out certificates which everyone seemed to be surprised by and pleased by as well. Next week is a pot luck finish and then it's race time. I had everyone put their goals for the race on a whiteboard in the store and make a public commitment to their goals and we can now help support and push each other along the path to our goal......Goals are much more powerful when you make them public.

Preparation for the next clinic is underway and guest speakers are locked in for the first 8 sessions, so I am feeling pretty comfortable with that.

Have a great weekend everyone and Keep on Walking

The clinic was all right, I was just thrown off by all the other non-clinic chatter. I have a feeling its like that everytime the walking clinic is on.

Anyway, I would love to speak to your clinic. I found a great racewalking graphic so that is what I am using for my handout.

In July the best Thursday is the 12th.

In August, the 9th, 16th, and 23rd are good.

Any Thursday in September is fine because my teammates will be off to Italy to compete and I'll be training on my own.

Its hard to keep up with the RR board. I'm lucky to have a job in front of the computer so I can check in a lot!

Okay, August 9 is penciled into my calendar.

I'd like to help you out with your work clinic, but I'd have to take a day off work and my vacation days are a bit stretched right now as it is! Sorry.
