MISSION POSSIBLE - LAS VEGAS MARATHON
Yesterday, was a pretty intense workout at the gym ---my usual hill/interval workout plus strength as well--I got in about 14km before I had to call it a day -- a little under the weather today so I stayed in bed this morning and got some much needed rest. I am really aware of my knees right now and not only am trying to strenthn them but also trying not to further tweak them---it is a rocky road--- a fine line between the two
When I got into this my whole goal was to complete a marathon in December of this year and I am only tow and a half weeks away from doing that---a long 18 days of anticipation.
Sarah and Bryan --thanks for the support through this - wish you could be there with me.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say I'd want to be out there on the course with you...I'd go to watch, and cheer, and enjoy the sun and heat of Vegas! ;)
I'll be there in spirit though, at the 33rd kilometre when your inner voice starts to say, "What the heck was I thinking?". Keep on walking through the negative thoughts, cause the joy and pride you'll feel when you cross that finish line are indescribable. I even got choked up at the start line of my first marathon cause I couldn't believe I was actually going to do it! Enjoy the ride!
