Well folks this is the big weekend - am I excited - Just a bit!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the opportunity to be enjoyed for sure. I wont tell you my secret goal till after the race but if I am around the 5:20 mark I will be very happy - when I first got into this and set my goal as a marathon in Dec of 2006 I had set a goal time of 6:30--how things change with alot of training etc. I figure that I have done 90km training for every 1km of the race - I hope that is prep enough.
Another great quote I saw today is "GOALS ARE BRIDGES TO OUR DREAMS" --all those little goals during the past year have been those bridges to my dream race this weekend - every other race -5s,10s,15s and halves - and every km outdoors, hills, on the treadmill, every weight pushed in the gym , every clinic night -- all have been those bridges to the dream.
Thank you everyone for your support - it has been heart felt and I will carry it with me all the way. Glenn, Lin, Sarah, Allison, and Jenna - a special thanks to my training family and my "separated at birth" brother.

By the way - we should all take the time to read Bryans Blog -- terrific story -- between the two of us we have lost a whole person this year... TERRIFIC JOB Bryan ---yours is truely a inspiring story and one I will keep in mind on Sunday. Congratulation Bryan - 50lbs down and still going --- you will be a lean, mean walking machine (oh-maybe running too -I wont call you a traitor yet) by the time Ottawa comes --- I am really looking forward to having the pleasure of being each others pace bunnies for that race -- maybe we can talk Sarah into it as well -- How about it Sarah?????
