What an absolutely awesome day -- the "High Park Invasion" started out as a way to try and get my two clinics to meet one another and train together -- it ended up being an "EVENT" at which over 50 walkers from 6 different Running Room stores invaded High Park and had a fantastic day of training together - doing anywhere between 7 km and 19km depending on their distance requirements for the day....and a pot luck breakfast back at the High Park store.....even had people in the park cheering and clapping for us -- asking us what race this was?

And they said Walkers have no spirit -- well, guess again -- and we are doing it again -- August 26/07 -- more of a mid-town location so we can make use of the boardwalk, waterfront and lakeshore trails -- bigger and better then -- maybe even give aways!!!!

FYI----a new group on facebook for those who are interested "Running Room Walkers(GTA)-Working together" Give us a hand and some input on events and how to focus our group wills on race directors to make more walker friendly events - from the smaller local events to the larger marathon events -- give us a hand!!!
